Mauchline Town Centre, East Ayrshire, Saturday 25th May 2019, 11am-5pm.
Live music and dance, children’s entertainment, funfair, children’s art competition and and over fifty stalls of local crafts, foods and delicacies. Culture for all ages!
This year’s Holy Fair has action in every corner of the town. We have a full line up of music and poetry in the Church, talented local musicians on all day on our Newcomer’s Stage – sponsored by Digital Kitchens Factory Outlet, and a great line up of dance and music on the Main Stage! We also have over 50 stalls with local craft, food, drinks and delicacies from across Ayrshire and beyond. The kids will not be bored either with a full funfair, ‘Children’s Area’ (also sponsored by Digital Kitchens) with an art competition, children’s entertainer, face painting and music!
This year our main stage will play host to the likes of singer-songwriters Matthew Gibb and Davie Anderson, dancers from Sophie Oliver School of Dance and DCB Dance Co. We will also be entertained with music from the Auchinleck and Cumnock School Concert Bands with their conductor – tuba player Craig Anderson. The afternoon will build up to our headline act The Well Happy Band and music from Ebb and Flow! The Newcomers’ Stage will show off many local musicians and young singers from across Ayrshire including Emi V, Cameron J Smith, Rebecca Cameron, Catching Fireflies and more!
Active Schools is a key component of the Early Intervention and Prevention section of Vibrant Communities and a major driver of the Scottish Government vision to get Scotland more active. The fundamental aim of the Active Schools Network it to offer children and young people the opportunities and motivation to adopt active, healthy lifestyles, now and into adulthood.
At the Shortless Community Centre, attend dance sessions for P4-7 children. You’ll get to learn new dance styles in a creative and fun enviroment.
