Free Saturday morning drawing for young artists aged 10 – 14, run by the Royal Drawing School at New Cumnock Town Hall.

Similarly to sporting or musical development, progress in drawing is achieved in response to regular practise and expert tuition. The New Cumnock Young Artist programme is designed as an introduction for children with an interest or aptitude in drawing to develop their skills through sustained weekly tuition. It is also an opportunity to learn with a practicing contemporary artist, Gabrielle Lockwood Estrin, who is an alumna of the School’s postgraduate programme, The Drawing Year. All materials are included.

Newmilns Arts & Crafts Festival and Classic Car Rally

We are very excited to introduce the second Newmilns Arts and Crafts Festival, as part of the Newmilns Festival Weekend. Organised by the Newmilns Regeneration Association, the event will be held on Sunday 22 September at 11am – 4pm.

The Arts and Crafts event will include over 80 stalls of arts and crafts vendors and community groups, a demonstration area, a 400 capacity cafe area and a Classic Car Rally brought to us by Ayrshire Classics Car Club.
