Free Saturday morning drawing for young artists aged 10 – 14, run by the Royal Drawing School at New Cumnock Town Hall.

Similarly to sporting or musical development, progress in drawing is achieved in response to regular practise and expert tuition. The New Cumnock Young Artist programme is designed as an introduction for children with an interest or aptitude in drawing to develop their skills through sustained weekly tuition. It is also an opportunity to learn with a practicing contemporary artist, Gabrielle Lockwood Estrin, who is an alumna of the School’s postgraduate programme, The Drawing Year. All materials are included.

The course is free, there are 16 places available which are allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
There are ten sessions in total with no sessions on 12 and 19 October.

Cumnock and District Round Table – Annual Fireworks Display

Annual Fireworks Display provided by Reaction Fireworks.

The display is run on a voluntary basis for the local community by members of Cumnock and District Round Table.

The event is free of charge and is funded through a community grant from East Ayrshire Council and donations from local businesses and individuals.

Corporate Parent Football Tournament

Sign up for our Corporate Parent Football Tournament on 23 October in support of Care Experienced Week 19-27 Oct 2019.

This great event helps develop relationships between corporate parents and young people. Starting at 1pm the play will continue until 4pm in the Kilmarnock Campus of Ayrshire College, Hill Street, Kilmarnock KA1 3HY.

This is an all abilities event and all workers and young people are encouraged to attend. Also joining us will be Kris Boyd (ex Kilmarnock FC player) who will be talking about passing positivity and Mental Health (#passingpositivity).

Kilmarnock FC will be holding a Hexagol competition to win a signed ball or strip. To take part contact jamie.turnbull@east-ayrshire.gov.uk.
