Free event: Live Lounge is an exciting acoustic showcase of four young musicians, singer-songwriters!

New Laigh Kirk in John Dickie Street, Kilmarnock will be hosting an open Live Lounge-styled evening with acoustic musicians performing their own music. There’ll be a wide range of musical styles from four exciting groups, all playing for the event in support of mental health awareness in Scotland. The Live Lounge event is in Association with Ayrshire College lecturer, Murray Baxter and Rip It Up and welcomes everyone who would like to come and enjoy some informal acoustic music or for anyone who would like to come along to support the groups. Doors open at 7pm. Come along and enjoy! Entrance is free but donations are welcome: SAMH (Scottish Association For Mental Health).

Lori Smith Fourteen-year-old singer/songwriter Lori Smith is set to make waves in 2019. Lori is a regular performer and busker, playing venues and events across Ayrshire. After the successful release of her debut single, Fighter, Lori has a busy summer schedule including performances at Live @ Troon and K-fest. Having been raised listening to Northern Soul, Ska, Reggae and Punk, as well as developing her own musical taste ranging from Jake Bugg to Paloma Faith, Lori has a depth of influences that have helped shape her as a songwriter. www.lorismithmusic.bandcamp.com

Stara Zagora Creating a cinematic sound, Stara Zagora (Sean McGeoch) is set to release his brand new album, ‘One Way Ticket To The Moon Please…’ this summer. Currently studying Sound Production at Ayrshire College, Sean takes influences from the likes of

Martyn McGilvray Singer song writer Martyn McGilvray’s debut EP, Another Day was released on July 1st 2019. Martyn studies sound production at Ayrshire College and is looking forward to performing throughout 2019. https://www.facebook.com/MartynMcGilvrayMusic

Sasha Kaloheris Sasha is a fifteen year old singer songwriter from Renfrewshire who has been a regular performer in the Glasgow music scene over the last 2 years. Sasha takes influences from Bruno Mars, Ariana Grande and the 1975.
