Glen Rosa – A Walk on the Wild Side – Ayrshire Walking Festival 2023

A chance to explore the wilder side of Glen Rosa, this walk takes you a less well-known route up onto the moorland above.  Climbing up through woodland, we will emerge onto the moors above with the reward of magnificent views on a clear day. Discover the diversity of wildlife both in and above the glen.  This walk is pure ‘Arranology’ from geology to ecology and archaeology, there’s a lot to discover.   Some sections are boggy and without paths, some steep sections on the way down on a rocky path and include a burn crossing at the top.

You will need a packed lunch and water, waterproofs and footwear for rough terrain which can be wet and slippy.
