Ayrshire Smugglers Trail – Ayrshire Walking Festival 2023

Follow this ancient route used in the 18th century to transport tea, wine,
brandy, rum and tobacco inland from the cargo boats arriving in Troon onwards to Dundonald Castle!  The route covers everything from woodland paths, surfaced roads, golf course, and sandy beaches.  Please note this is a linear walk and return transport to Troon is not provided.  The return journey can be made via the local bus service from Dundonald to Troon.
